Nick Wooster + J.C. Penney

The fashion world is surprisingly at buzz with the news that Nick Wooster will be joining one of the most bland brands in American fashion, J.C. Penney.

Wooster, who is most recently known as an internet style icon and for his “Wooster Project,” is a veteran in the industry who previously worked as the men’s fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus.

Wooster has also acted as a consultant for Mac Cosmetics, Thom Browne, Chaiken Clothing and the Gilt Groupe.

In an effort to rebrand its image, American retailer J.C. Penney has contracted Wooster to give its brand a much needed uplift to its men’s collection.

There are mix feelings about the placement, since many believe that Wooster’s irrefutable style talent would be of better use elsewhere, but most are confident that given the necessary leeway Wooster will finally bring a sense of style to the fashion challenged company.
