One of our favorite actors at Gloobbi is Gwyneth Paltrow for her work on and off the screen. For her role as the fictional love interest of William Shakespeare in Shakespeare in Love, Gwyneth won an Academy Award for Best Actress.
However, it was in her performance as Marge Sherwood, a lazy glamorous bourgeois in the film The Talented Mr. Ripley, which captured our attention and added us in her fan base.
Off screen, as the face of Estée Lauder’s Pleasures perfume, Gwyneth leases her name to the ‘Pleasure Gwyneth Paltrow’ collection, which donates a portion of sales for breast cancer research. The actress also serves on the board of the Robin Hood Foundation, an organization which attempt to curtail problems caused by poverty in New York.
Gwyneth’s most recent work is a PBS food and travel series called “Spain… on the road Again” with Iron Chef Mario Batali, New York Times food critic Mark Bittman and Spanish actress Claudia Bassols. The show is an exploration of Spain’s culinary and cultural history.
