Top Ten Design Gadgets 2013

1. New Swivl
The next era of moving images is being made possible by Swivl, a multipurpose motion and tracking platform for imaging, teleconferencing and more. It has a smooth, highly adjustable pan and tilt motion system and is compatible with iPads, iPhones, DSLRs and Android devices. With tracking controls, a wireless microphone and built-in speakers, video chatting and conferencing are made easy and convenient. In addition, Swivl’s sophisticated motion controlled tripod head is any photographer’s dream for panorama shots and moving time-lapses.

2. Parrot Zik Headphones:
Smart headphones are what’s new in the smart technology trend. Parrot’s Zik noise-cancelling headphones are packed with innovative technology, built from high quality material, and they’re comfortable. The headphones feature touch-sensitive control panels located on the right ear piece, an accelerometer which pauses your music when you take the headphones off and turns it back on when you put the headphones on again. There is also an NFC chip equipped with Bluetooth pairing, noise-cancelling speakers, additional speakers for talking on the phone, all operating wirelessly.

3. Luxury Mobil:

Vertu has now released their first touch screen mobile device, Constellation. Made with a flawless sapphire crystal display, an 8-megapixel camera with ruby surround and hand-finished leather, Constellation promises to be a showstopper.

4. Mophie Juice Pack Helium for iPhone:
One of the most trusted names in the mobile charging device industry has released Helium, the thinnest and lightest charging case available for iPhone 5. Helium offers protection for your phone and contains a 1500 mAh battery that roughly doubles the capacity of the iPhone’s internal battery, translating to about six additional hours of talk time and 30 hours of music playback. With a micro USB connection, you can charge your phone and your case simultaneously. As the ninth generation of cases released from Mophie, Helium is sleek, unobtrusive, and will leave you connected day and night.

5. SPARC: A watch with no battery:
A masterpiece of Swiss watchmaking engineering, Venutra’s SPARC MGS captures kinetic energy produced by the movements of the wrist to create a renewable, ever present source of energy that continuously feeds the electronic display. The typography used for the SPARC MGS was developed by Adrian Frutiger, the founder of modern typography. 6. We Love it Vintage:
Vintage is all the rage and the refurbished cameras from I Lott Vintage are a must have for the romantics who dream of the days of photography before digital. 8. Lamborghini Roadster:
With the perfect combination of sportiness and elegance, the new Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster was designed to combine the highest levels of performance, style and ease of use to create a driving experience that titillates all five senses. Updated for 2013, the Aventador features a convertible cockpit for open air driving while maintaining the performance and luxury of the original Avantador. The V12 engine allows the roaster to reach up to 62 mph in just 3 seconds and has a top out speed of 217 mph. With looks to kill and power to back it up, the new Aventador just might be the sexiest toy of 2013.

9. Minimoog Voyager:
Moog Music is one of the most prominent makers of synthsizers in the music industry and to celebrate the success of their Minimoog Voyager, the best-selling analog synthesizer of the last decade, Moog is releasing a limited edition 10th Anniversary Minimoog Voyager with 24-karat gold and Japanese Awabi pearls. Additional features of the Minimoog Voyager include translucent knobs, a glowing Moog logo with indigo illumination, a gold headphone jack, all back switches, a personalized engraved gold plate, a letter pressed certificate of authenticity, and a hand bound user’s manual. Only 5 units are available for sale in the United States and the other 25 are spread out across the rest of the world.

10. Cubify 3D Systems:
At home 3D printing made easy with the recently released CubeX. With the same 3D printing method as the original Cube, the CubeX can print larger and professional parts faster such as architectural models, replacement parts, prototypes, jewelry, working gears, toys and more. Users have access to a variety of different colors, can print with multiple materials and can make anything they can imagine, up to the size of a basketball. The printer is equipped with printing software and applications making CubeX practical and easy to use.
